Hazrat Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maqsood Ilahi Naqshbandi

A life in the service of the heart

Hazrat Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maqsood Ilahi Naqshbandi (Damat Barakatuhum) is the founder and Patron-in-Chief of Islami Roohani Mission, which carries out the mission's preaching services, and of the Al Maqsood Foundation, which carries out its welfare work.

He is a renowned Islamic scholar, a spiritual guide of the Naqshbandi order, and a qualified homeopathic doctor — a combination that has shaped the mission's character from the beginning: guidance for the heart, education for the mind, and care for the body.

The mission

Islami Roohani Mission is a non-political religious and welfare organisation. It works to create a congenial atmosphere for the revival of Tauhid and Sunnah and a right concept of spiritualism, so that self-purification and good deeds become the sign of a Muslim.

The mission was established to revive the teachings of our religious veterans — through recordings, books and pamphlets, and through arranging gatherings of zikr. Alongside spirituality it serves in medicine, education, welfare and charity.

Where the mission works

The head office is in Karachi, Pakistan, with branches in Mozambique and South Africa.
